Worst away game pub options.. ( current)
Is there the smell of death around the whole of villa park or what?!? Having given up on the whitton arms previous years ( £2 entrance, shit beer, poor service, I hear it was as bad as ever yesterday? We went to the Yew Tree ( no children allowed- honestly!) and given it was probably their busiest day of the season, took us about ten minutes to get served in an empty pub ( no krony, no carlsberg, the cider was flat etc) and 20 i nutes per beer once the crowd turned up. Horrible scummy little boozer full of chavvy oiks.

Which is why we usually drink in Brum and head out to the ground....

Cant imagine how grim it will be when they are bottom of the championship next season..

Witton Arms yesterday, dire. £2 to get in, one bloke behind the bar , bar prices £3.60 for 1, £7.20 for 2, and on to £90 for 25, ripped and flapping pull-down TV Screen on the side of the rattling tent, there's a lot of really shit boozers near grounds, but that is memorably the worst.

Always manage to find a half decent boozer but then most of the time we drink away from the ground.

Not been away for a few years but villa was one of my best away games, shit hole pubs though they seems to have 10 versions of The Queens on Green St.

All time shiitest, step forward Gillingham

The pub near the canal near the Ricoh (not the nice one where some bright spark nicked a picture from a few seasons back). Pay to park outside, and the beer was sold from tins which arrived intermittently presumably from some cash and carry in 24 packs.

The only saving grace was the cheese roll.

I've drunk in the Bill Nicholson pub before a WHU match and it was surprisingly decent. Barmaids were top drawer.

We went in a great pub at West Brom, not far from the ground owned by Asians with a curry buffet on offer. Dr Browns in Boro was fine as well.

Reading. Stoke. Middlesbrough. Doncaster. Villa. West brom.

Palace is probably the worst of the London clubs.

Is the Witton Arms the same pub as the CAP N GOWN?
___
yes

Its one of the few pubs where Ive always thought the beer is watered down...a massive shit hole and why on earth there's a £2 entrance fee...

Witton arms was shocking.

Paid £2 each to get in, had one beer each after a 20 min queue.

And bumped into one Mac and norflondon.

All in all; grim.

The Witton Arms was shit yesterday, massive queues and shit beer. All the Birmingham teams are shit for a beer near the ground hence we always go to a pub in the city centre down near the canals. Alas no trains meant we had to knock that one on the head yesterday

I dislike the out of town shopping centre ones. Having a beer in Pizza Hut just doesn't feel the same
